Anti-ageing care

Time inevitably takes its toll on the skin. Life is also about making the most of each day, sometimes indulging in things that our skin doesn’t necessarily enjoy (sun exposure, smoking, drinking alcohol, eating food that is too fatty or sugary...). We can’t “halt” the ageing phenomenon… The “anti-ageing” effect is more about hydrating and improving the skin than about a miracle cure for wrinkles. So we have selected a few different solutions to rejuvenate your skin and smooth away the signs of time.

Hyaluronic acid is a well-known and valuable active ingredient against ageing. This molecule is found naturally in the dermis, and our body makes 5g of it per day on average. This solution has hygroscopic effects: it absorbs moisture from the air, retaining it in our skin. The active ingredient is primarily used for skin damage on the face, but can of course also be used on the whole body. This solution leaves the skin plumper, firmer and more supple. It helps to intensely hydrate the tissues in general. Hyaluronic acid smooths out wrinkles and fine lines, but it cannot penetrate deeply, due to its high molecular weight. It is available in the form of serums, lotions and creams, or even surgical injections. Hyaluronic acid is suitable for all skin types: isn’t that great? The miracle solution!

Vitamin C is known for its antioxidant, radiance-boosting power. It protects all skin types against free radicals (responsible for ageing in the organism), and stimulates the production of fibroblasts. Vitamin C naturally activates the synthesis of collagen and elastin. This active ingredient improves the luminosity of the skin, restoring its natural radiance. It boosts firmness and reduces the visible or sometimes microscopic marks that form on our skin. For maximum benefits, vitamin C should be used in a stable cosmetic formula with a concentration of over 5%. Moreover, vitamin C that has been poorly preserved is nothing like vitamin C... It must be kept in hermetically sealed vacuum packaging, away from light and heat (don’t hesitate to put it in the refrigerator). Avoid keeping vitamin C in jar form. It is therefore advised to get plenty of vitamin C, which can be found in fruit and vegetables, but also in certain cosmetic products.

Retinol is known for its ability to “erase” wrinkles. It is an active form of vitamin A, and is often used in cosmetic formulas. Its action primarily combats skin imperfections, including spots, oily skin and skin ageing. This active ingredient favours the elimination of dead cells left on the skin, and prevents them accumulating, while smoothing the surface of the skin itself. Retinol acts both on the surface of the skin and deep down: a special property of this recognised and effective dermatological solution. Like vitamin C, it stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin, but also the regeneration of skin cells through exfoliation, to improve visible marks or scars on damaged skin. The skin is revitalised and wrinkles are reduced, thanks to this unrivalled solution!

Turmeric: anti-ageing antioxidant

Turmeric has antioxidant properties, and is often used to prevent cell ageing. It is known to help with good cardiovascular function and to neutralise free radicals responsible for skin ageing. The spice that alleviates “oxidative stress”! Turmeric, like the other solutions, is highly effective against damage by free radicals. The spice is valued as an inhibitor against lipid oxidation. To benefit from a positive effect on your skin, it is recommended to take the equivalent of a teaspoon of turmeric a day.

Organic hemp oil (Organic Cannabis sativa): green Gold anti-ageing

Organic hemp oil (also known as organic Cannabis sativa oil) is known for several of its properties: hydrating, soothing, antioxidant and regenerative. This solution combats skin ageing by encouraging cell regeneration and renewal. Organic hemp oil improves the quality of your skin, thanks to its polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3s and omega-6s. Naturally present in the plant, they hydrate and revitalise your skin, providing better protection against harmful external factors. This solution is suitable for all skin types, because it strengthens the skin barrier, maintains a good level of hydration, and improves skin elasticity: a real shield for your skin! To benefit from its full effect, it is best to adopt a daily application routine, once or twice a day. Don’t wait: start your organic Cannabis sativa adventure today, and you won’t be disappointed.

This plant is our favourite: a real little miracle! Our beloved product, designed especially for you: our high oil:

Ultra-repairing, it penetrates deeply into the skin to restore and refine damaged areas, releasing the natural, soothing aromas of terpenes from Cannabis sativa. Our high oil is enriched with vitamin E to enhance its antioxidant properties and prevent skin ageing. Its sebum-regulating action makes it ideal to nourish dry skin, balance combination skin, or regulate and mattify oily skin.

All of HO KARAN’s care products are made with organic hemp oil, recommended as a daily-use solution to hydrate and nourish your skin.
